News: New Bon Iver Album due out June 21

It's been four years since Justin Vernon spent a lonely winter in his father's cabin in the Wisconsin wilderness, where he passed the time by watching Northern Exposure DVDs, chopped fire wood and recorded one of the most beautiful and intimate records of all time.

And finally, after stints in several other projects and slummin' it with Yeezy, Bon Iver is back with a new album this June.

AltConDel will keep you posted as more info comes to light but for now check out this short clip which features a snippet from the album and footage of the record's artwork, which was created by Minnesota artist, Gregory Euclide.

Free Album: Geotic – Mend

Many of you may have not heard of Geotic, but you may have heard of the guy behind it, Will Weisenfeld, aka Baths.

Geotic is the name of Weisenfeld's atmospheric, ambient side project and he's released a bunch of free music under this moniker.

We've been giving the album 'Mend' a thorough workout and think it is just gorgeous, so now we are encouraging you to explore it yourselves.

R.I.P. The White Stripes

Seminal, two piece, blues and classic country revivalists, The White Stripes, have called it quits.

In a statement made today, Jack and Meg said their last goodbyes:

"The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful."

Arguably the greatest band of the last decade, the "brother and sister" duo changed what the definition of a popular act could be.

Over their tenure as one of the "Saviours of rock" in the early 2000s, they released a string of brilliant albums, toured relentlessly, and made several "best album of the year" lists.

Jack also established himself as one of the greatest guitar players of all time, and one of the most prolific and innovative artists of our generation.

They will be sorely missed, but their legacy will forever be preserved by their classy exit.

They also released several exemplary film clips with the genius director, Michel Gondry. Including this fantastic classic:

Stuff We Missed in 2010

Shit, the year's been and gone and we're one step closer to 2012, the year of apocalypse and damnation (we can only assume that the Aztecs or Myans or whoever it was that predicted the Earth's impending doom also foresaw that it would be carried out by Dubstep).

News: Wolf Parade Going On 'Hiatus'

One of the greatest bands of the last decade, Wolf Parade, have announced they'll be going on an extended hiatus as of next year.

Very sad news, despite that their latest album, Expo 86, kinda sucked.

Let's hope this break isn't permanent.
